If you were given a fast food franchise which one would you pick?
How about 2nd and 3rd?
I would pick Port of Subs from Sparks, NV as my franchise. Their subs are even better than Subway. They are also very community minded. I like that in a business. So far, Port of Subs has taken over the west coast: Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington.
Subway would be my second pick.
Jack in the Box would be my third.

1. Ben and Jerry’s : I’m from WI and we’re the dairy state too but lol I only know of one ben and jerry’s around and its not even the full blown store just a little cart. The ice cream and other treats and ben and jerry’s are awesome. This is for sure my number one pick.
2. Smoothie King : Again there isn’t one in WI. Who doesn’t love a good smoothie on a hot summer day? Or heck even in the winter.
3. Portillo’s: Bringing a good old chicago style hot dog to WI.

I’d pick the one that cares about their franchisees. Lots of them out there are scams. They charge you 10% of ALL REVENUE then overcharge you for replacement equipment by making you buy from their preselected company. Then, when you fail, they don’t even try to help you. If you want to sue the franchise, you have to go through arbitration, meaning YOU pay for a mediator the franchise selects and all the expenses associated with it.
Some places offer discounts on franchises for veterans. Franchises are scum, I highly recommend you don’t get involved with one unless you can get them vetted by fellow owners and read the contract, carefully.
